AMFI (Association of Mutual Funds in India) reclassifies stocks by market capitalisation biannually, in January and July. Large-cap comprises the top 100 companies by full market capitalisation, mid-cap covers the 101st to 250th positions, and small-cap includes stocks ranked 251st onwards. Following this reclassification, mutual funds are required to adjust their portfolios within one month of the rejig. These reclassified stocks gain increased visibility and attract fund managers’ attention for potential inclusion or exclusion in their investment strategies. Here is the latest rejig as of June 30, 2025
